Our runners tested dozens of shorts to bring you their best-of list for 2018.
“This limited-edition shoe is part of Brooks Running’s sponsorship of the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, taking place in Seattle this July. I loved the cushioning in Brooks’ Ghost 10s when I ran in them for the first time last year, and I’m excited by the new colorway of this shoe, which also features nods to the Special Olympics on the tongue and heel. Brooks is donating $10 from every shoe and $5 from every apparel purchase within its limited edition catalogue to the USA Games, the full collection of which is accessible at this link.” —Meghan Roos, web editor
“These pants offer support that feels so gentle, you won’t realize how much they’re helping until you take them off. The soft fabric with a slight sheen is lightweight enough to wear running in temps reaching into the low ’70s, and the elastic waistband closes securely with Velcro—it didn’t budge or bother my seven-month baby bump. Deftly toeing the line between full-coverage (they’re pants) and somewhat revealing (this fabric leaves nothing to the imagination), they’re a great pick for moms-to-be who want to keep running outdoors in mild climates, or on the treadmill. I’ve even thrown them on as leggings under long shirts because they’re just so comfy.” —Erin Beresini, editor-in-chief of Triathlete
“Want an at-home facial in 10 minutes or less? These single-use masks from Yes To make it super easy. We tried the tomatoes and charcoal one, which helps peel away impurities and excess oil. The instructions are simple—just cover your face with the black mask, let dry for eight to 10 minutes and then peel it off! The mask comes off surprisingly well, and the removal process was made even simpler and cleaner with the new mask tool. Other new-for-spring Yes To single-use masks include a glow-boosting grapefruit one and an energizing coffee and coconut one.” —Bethany Mavis, managing editor
“Whether you’re lounging by the pool or just spending some relaxation time after a nice, hot bath, this incredibly soft robe by Cuyana will keep you comfy and cozy. Made from a blend of Turkish cotton and bamboo, it doesn’t feel to heavy while wearing and dries quickly—just in case you are poolside and someone nearby decides to bust out their cannonball skills.” —Women’s Running editors
“Those of us who’ve experienced ‘runger’ know the importance of keeping snacks on hand—and if you have kids to look after, all the more reason. Available in two berry flavors (our favorite was the Strawberry Banana) with just 70 calories per tube, this yogurt by Kite Hill is free of gluten, dairy and soy, swapping almond milk in as a replacement for traditional dairy sources. It’s easy and fun to eat—and it tastes good!” —Women’s Running editors
