No more chafe cream made and marketed for athletes only; these products are for all women who want solutions to chub rub and boob sweat.
It is easy to feel like natural and organic makeup is just a new, trendy thing on the market, but that isn’t the truth. Now, as a generation, we are starting to pay more attention to what we put onto and into our bodies, and that includes makeup.
“Natural and organic makeup has been around for at least a couple of decades,” notes Nadine Cormier from NU EVOLUTION Cosmetics. “Social media has brought it to the forefront as of late, with many natural and organic devotees celebrating their favorite products. As a result, indie brands that create organic and natural personal care products that were once considered off the beaten track have become very popular.”
These products should be more than just a trend however, thanks to the many benefits. Cormier explains that our society is now routinely suffering from illnesses that barely existed 20 years ago. This includes things like eczema, psoriasis, skin rashes and adult acne. In fact, she says our systems are overwhelmed.
“Your skin absorbs more than 60 percent of what is applied topically; whether it’s your makeup, lotion, shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.,” she adds. “This means your pores are drinking up a toxic cocktail that goes directly into your bloodstream.”
In order to regain control, using natural makeup that is created from nutrient-rich, natural ingredients. When looking for products, you may see terms like self-preserving and vegan. If you don’t know what that means when it comes to cosmetics, Cormier explains.
“Self-preserving means that a product doesn’t require any synthetic preservatives to stay fresh—those synthetics are the exact ingredients that we banned from Nu Evolution products,” she notes. “Vegan products are formulated without the use of animal derived ingredients. This include things like beeswax, lanolin, collagen, albumen, carmine, cholesterol and gelatin.”
What is even better about these types of products? Not only are they good for you, but they are eco-friendly, too. Win-win!
