Ultrarunner Bree Lambert plans to run the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run in under 24 hours for the second time on June 24, 2017.
There is a new way to travel—and it involves being active. The best part? You don’t have to do any of the planning. You choose where you want to go and there is a guide to take care of all of the details.
Thanks to Topdeck Travel, this is a reality. It is as simple as going to their website, choosing a location you’d like to visit and signing up. You leave the rest up to them (though you do get some free time on your trip for exploring).
The best part about Topdeck is that each trip is geared toward an active lifestyle—and you don’t have to be worried if you decide to travel alone. Their group environment gives you a safe way to discover new places without being overwhelmed.
“Some of the destinations Topdeck explores are certainly unique to the standard travel itinerary – but more than anything, Topdeck fosters a secure and social environment which encourages young travelers to create shared memories with like minded people,” explains Maria Eilersen, Global PR & Communications Manager of Topdeck. “Passengers have the chance to fully immerse themselves in the local culture of some of the most iconic and desirable places in the world, while also building friendships for life.”
The true highlight of Topdeck for runners is their newly launched ‘Bucket List Runs.’ When you sign up for a trip—to London, Barcelona, Lauterbrunnen, Krakow, Rome, Florence, Vienna, Amsterdam or Berlin—there is a self-serve map available to you. This can be accessed through Topdeck’s travel app.
The runs range from 2-4 miles in length and include points of interest along the way, which are marked with a pin on the map so you don’t miss it. They are currently working on routes in New York, Boston, Vancouver, Toronto and San Francisco.
Each running route is tested and approved by the Topdeck team and maps can be downloaded to your phone, meaning you don’t need to have an internet connection to make use of it.
“The experience is fully planned complete with meals, transportation, lodging and educated Trip Leaders who create a once in a lifetime vacation,” continues Eilersen. “From modern, Wi-Fi equipped coaches to handpicked accommodation and unique Bucket List items, Topdeck has got it covered—meaning passengers get to have the best trip possible, completely hassle-free.”
They offer various trips in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, giving you multiple options to focus on discovering the world (without all of the planning).
