Negative self-talk is what convinced this young woman to start running. Now, she runs for the enjoyment of the sport.
After just missing the 2012 Olympic team for Canada, professional hurdler and 11-time NCAA All-American Fawn Dorr made some serious changes. She moved to Atlanta, switched coaches and is now training with a new club as she runs, lifts and Instagrams her way to a 2016 Olympic bid.
“I completely reject the idea of blending in. Having fun with my hair is a very empowering way to express myself.”
“When I doubt myself, I repeat this mantra until I believe it: This is who I am. This is what I do. This is what I love.”
“My running power color is sparkle—LOL, if only sparkle were a color! The next best thing is neon pink.”
