"I am entirely me." —Amelia Gapin
On a steamy June afternoon in Brooklyn, Aviva Drescher walked into our cover shoot in true Manhattanite fashion, dressed in black from head to toe. But the “Real Housewife of New York” wasn’t arriving after a glamorous brunch; she was coming straight from dropping her children off at school. Throughout the shoot, the reality star shined as she let her glamorous edge show on camera and shared her sweet, down-to-earth personality with the crew.
Photographer James Farrell arrived with a crew of three: lighting assistant Carl Chisolm, photo editor Andrew Closson and puppy Sophie. It was love at first sight for Sophie and Aviva— and for Sophie and the electrical cords. Proof that if you’re this cute, you can get away with murder.
