Part music festival, part marathon, the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon (rocknroll.competitor.com) is perfect for endurance-loving party girls. The downtown course snakes through the city’s most famous areas, including bucolic Balboa Park and the historic mission district of Old Town—but the best sightseeing is during the race itself.
