“In 2001, I was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia. My doctors told me if I continued running I might drop dead of a heart attack. I loved running, but I loved my family and my life more. If I wanted to live (and run again) I had to change. I stopped looking at food as the enemy and started looking at it as fuel. I ran my first marathon in 2003 and have been running them ever since, completely free of any disordered thinking and eating. It’s a beautiful thing!”
