Chances are, you’ve heard the buzz about the wildly popular novel-turned-movie, The Hunger Games. Known for appealing to a wide range audience (from preteens to adults of all ages), one thing is certain- The Hunger Games mania is upon us. We’re no exception at Women’s Running. We admit it- we’re suckers for strong female characters and Katniss Everdeen fits the bill.
Throughout the movie, Katniss finds herself in physically challenging situations where she must run for her own survival. Actress Jennifer Lawrence (who plays Katniss) had six weeks to prepare for her role and sought the help of running coach, Joe Horrigan.
