Here’s a challenge: go to your t-shirt drawer and take a quick peek around. Is it overflowing with shirts from past races? Chances are, you’re like us at Women’s Running and have a hard time parting with coveted race memorabilia. It can be exhilarating to relive the glory of crossing the finish line by sorting through piles of old race shirts. So, the question isn’t whether to keep all of our shirts, but rather what do we do with all the shirts we collect from races (besides beg our significant other to use the guest room closet so that we can take over the entire master bedroom closet as a shrine to running)?
Ladies, ready your sewing machines and thread some needles! It’s time to channel your inner “Martha” and put on your crafty pants. Although it may it may look complicated, making a t-shirt quilt is easier than it looks.
While it can be a little time consuming, nothing beats cuddling up on the couch with a “glory” quilt made from t-shirts you earned. Your favorite races will be forever immortalized on this practical display. Check out this t-shirt quilt that a Women’s Running staff member made. . .

Don’t fret if you’re not a crafty girl, you could always persuade a skilled friend or relative into helping you with this project. There are also plenty of send away services that will do this in your honor (they can just be a little costly). Here’s one we found online.
We’ve made a quilt out of our old race tshirts, but we want to know– what creative things have you done with your shirts?
