A runner shares a personal essay documenting her years as "the runner" in rural South Dakota.
GOTRIbal is an organization created to empower women through the challenge, journey and fun of endurance sports. Part of this journey – often the best part – is the friendship formed between women who connect through training and racing together. That’s where GOTRIbal comes in – inspiring and enabling these connections like never before.
Members of GOTRIbal are invited to join Tribes – or create their own – wherein support, mentorship, resources and excitement are shared in droves. Armed with this support, women are encouraged and enabled to achieve their dreams – whether on or off the race course.
Want to sample the excitement of GOTRIbal? Register for the Multisport Adventure Retreat for Women on Saturday, November 12, 2011, in Clermont, Florida. Spend a day at the National Training Center, with all-abilities sessions focused on run technique, cycling skills and maintenance, swimming, stand-up paddling and beach yoga. Get in the groove of the weekend with a Friday evening happy hour to benefit the Orlando Chapter of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red!” campaign for women.
GOTRIbal is open to women worldwide who are hoping to explore and enhance their passion for sport through an engaging, empowering and often entertaining community – and in so doing, enhance their involvement in all aspects of life. Learn more – including how to join or create your own Tribe – here.
